Intelligence you own.
A knowledge base you control.
AI has a data problem that scaling will not solve.
Hundreds of billions have been spent making models bigger and faster. Those models can generate almost anything, but they continue to know nothing about the people using them. Current memory architectures store dead facts. Frozen, prompted, unverifiable. Unable to represent how a person actually thinks, decides, or weighs competing priorities.
The bottleneck is architectural, not computational.
The data required to make AI personal does not exist in any capturable form. It cannot be scraped. It has to be built, intentionally, over time, by the individual.
Hallu Labs is building sovereign data infrastructure for this problem. We are developing locally-stored ontological models that capture context through interaction, not surveillance.
Our coordination architecture is built on active inference, a mathematical framework from theoretical neuroscience for how adaptive systems maintain coherence over time. We are researching multi-agent systems that learn what you need before you ask, without data exfiltration.
The individual must own the context layer that makes AI useful. No marketplace exists today for people to participate in the data economy they created. We are building that infrastructure.
Year one is fundamental research across the mathematics of data sovereignty, agent coordination, and ontological structure. We expect major results within twelve months.
Founded by researchers and builders from Google Brain, Meta FAIR, Meta Reality Labs, Helsing, and Brown University. An interdisciplinary lab across AI architecture, mathematics, behavioral science, and axiology.
The next generation of AI does not start with bigger models. It starts with data only individuals can create.
We are looking for research partners, design partners, and investors who understand that the value of this company is inseparable from the integrity of its founding principle.
